Information was limited at press time, but this newspaper received information that the sheriff’s department was investigating a report of a female county jailer having sex with multiple male inmates while on duty at the county jail.
There was no report from the sheriff’s department, but jail sources told the paper the case had been investigated and the district attorney’s office was expected to file charges against the female jailer.
A second female jailer was reportedly investigated for the same acts earlier this year, but was fired after an inmate escape attempt, sources said.

In other law enforcement activity, Broken Bow police arrested a man for stealing at least two tires from a local tire shop recently.
The owner of the shop said the suspect was caught on video stealing two tires while on a bicycle. He stole one, rode away and later returned to steal a second. The suspect was caught on video going through several items stored behind the business.
Police arrested the man who was found riding the same bicycle. He had meth and marijuana on him when he was arrested.
Broken Bow police investigated a report of a couple arguing Friday near Pruett’s Food in a parking lot and a woman threw an infant in the backseat of the car after the argument.
A witness drove to the police department after saying she saw the woman pull a baby out of its stroller and throw the baby into the back seat. She said the woman drove away after arguing with a man and throwing the baby in the back seat.
The witness gave officers a vehicle description and license plate number. Officers were not able to find the vehicle yet, but have the name of the suspect.
Idabel police arrested a man for meth possession following a 1:30 a.m. traffic stop Sunday.
The driver had no driver’s license, but officers found a meth pipe, syringes and a baggie of meth. The 41-year-old was arrested.
A 35-year-old Idabel man was arrested for public intoxication after coming to the police department drunk and also appeared to be on meth.
Officers tried to speak to the man, but he became belligerent and was arrested.
A 46-year-old Gilmer, Texas man was also arrested for public intoxication over the weekend.
Broken Bow police made several DUI arrests over the weekend following traffic stops.
